About the Role
The Willetton Basketball Association prides itself as a well-governed and progressive club, with the largest domestic competition in the state.
We’re deeply proud of the referees that make this happen. As part of our support for the program we’re excited to welcome a Referee Development Officer to our thriving program.
Continuing and expanding on the great work of the current referee development team, the primary role of the RDO is to develop and expand our current referee program. The current team will continue to offer support for this role.
The new person will oversee the current Willetton Referee program and the pathways for referees including the referee elite program, educators, supervisors and WABL referees (as just some examples of where referees can develop to).
The RDO reports to the Competitions manager, and will work closely with the competitions team (including supervisors, referees and committees).
They must provide a high level of customer service and have strong organisational skills to enable them to be able to deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a sometimes challenging and fast-paced environment.
This role requires midweek and some weekend work, with monthly evening meetings with competition related committees.
The position is casual 25 to 35 hours per week however this role has busy and quiet times – time management skills, and flexibility are essential.
