Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation, and we are looking to welcome some new volunteers to contribute to the success and growth of the Willetton Basketball Association.
These flexible roles are suited to anyone looking to try something new, develop a new skill set, and make some meaningful connections with like-minded volunteers.
Working within a collaborative environment, you will be provided with training and support from the association, as well as your fellow committee members.
Please find below the current committee vacancies, and a little about each role;
- Events & Volunteers Working Group – Chair Role
- Supported by a team of volunteers
- Collectively, the group outlines the event calendar for the year, and brainstorms ways this can best be executed.
- Provide support to the NBL1 program through game night activation ideas and delivery.
- Collaborate to formulate and oversee an annual volunteer recognition function.
- Liaise with the hospitality team for any catering needs.

- Competitions Advisory Committee – 2 x General Committee Members
- Working within a team of volunteers to provide advice and recommendations to the Competitions Manager on matters relating to the domestic basketball competition at WBA
- Collectively providing feedback and advice to the Competitions Manager around the growth and sustainability of all domestic programs, support and guidance for all domestic clubs, and annual reviewing of domestic by-laws.

Both roles do not require any previous experience, but would instead be suited to someone who has a passion for the Willetton Basketball Association, and would like to volunteer a small amount of their time to make a large positive impact.
