Willetton Basketball Association are thrilled to announce the appointment of Craig Friday to the Talent and Coaching Manager position.
Former Australian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Head Coach Craig Friday has been appointed as the new Talent & Coaching Manager at Willetton Basketball Association.
Craig has an extensive basketball resume, in both coaching and administration roles at international, national, state, representative and club levels.
From a coaching perspective, Craig has held head coach roles in the SBL with Willetton Tigers (women) and Joondalup Wolves (men and women), and has most recently been an assistant coach in the Willetton Tigers Men’s NBL1 program.
Craig has Head Coach experience in the WNBL with the West Coast Waves, and has held coaching roles in Basketball WA high performance programs, including coaching State teams.
Over the past 20 years, Craig has been involved with Basketball Australia’s National Wheelchair Basketball Program, including being the Head Coach of the program at the Paralympic Games and World Cup campaigns.
In recent years, Craig has taken an U14 Willetton Tigers girls team to the Junior National Championships, as well as holding other WABL head coaching roles.
With his experience in administration and basketball, Craig will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role, and we look forward to seeing his impact in the future of Willetton’s high performance programs.
