The Willetton Tigers have bolstered their big man stocks with the recent signing of 6’10” Australian Centre Brent Hank.
Hank, who is 23 years of age, has joined the Tigers this week having recently returned to Australia after completing his college career at the University of Albany in New York, USA.
Hank has had a successful junior career coming through the Australian underage system where he represented South Australia several times at National Championships and had also previously played at NBL1 level for Centrals in South Australia.
He is the final addition to a Tigers roster that has started the NBL1 West season in positive style with a current 6-1 win/loss record.
“I am really looking forward to joining the team and helping the team to have a successful season,” Hank said when asked about his signing with the Tigers.
Willetton Head Coach Adam Nener was excited to add Hank to the roster for the remainder of the season.
“From the first conversation we had, Brent was all about coming in and helping the team out where he can and this was evident in his first training session with the team,” Nener said.
“It’s all the little things that we were impressed with, such as his talk on defence and he certainly isn’t shy to put his body on the line either which will be great to see.”
The Willetton Tigers continue a run of home games this weekend when they play the East Perth Eagles at Willetton Stadium on Saturday with the women’s game scheduled for a 5pm tip-off.
