Willetton Junior and Perth Wildcats Development Player Tom Gerovich Signs on for 2 Years!
The Community Bank Canning Vale Willetton Tigers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of Tom Gerovich for the 2025 and 2026 NBL1 West seasons.
A Willetton junior, Tom has had a huge few years in basketball. From winning a gold medal representing Western Australia at the Under 20’s Nationals and graduating the Wildcats Academy last year, to signing a Development Player contract with the Perth Wildcats in the NBL.
Tom has some huge performances in the 2024 NBL1 West season, with a game high of 20 points against Perry Lakes, and a solid game in the grand final with 9 points and 11 rebounds, including an impressive half court buzzer beater and some integral defensive stops.
Coach Nener is excited to have the home grown talent back on board;
“We are very excited to have Gero sign on for another 2 years. Tom is a Willetton junior, and he ticks all the boxes that you look for in a player!
Gero’s ability to adapt and just go out there and play no matter who the opponent is and get the job done is a testament to his character, which puts him in good stead to be a future leader of Willetton.
After spending a full year as a development player with the Perth Wildcats we are looking forward to seeing Gero put the Willetton Tigers jersey back on for 2025!”
Seizing his opportunities with the Wildcats, Tom has already suited up for games, and will no doubt continue to grow and excel in their system.
Beyond being a key part of the 2025 roster, Tom is a magnificent role model to have around our club. tom represents the pathway that is available to our juniors, and embodies our club values in everything he does.
Welcome back Tom! 💙
