Willetton Appoints New Talent and Coaching Manager

Willetton Basketball is excited to announce that former Perth Wildcats captain and member of the 2010 Championship side Brad Robbins has been appointed as the new Talent & Coaching Manager at the Association.

Robbins, who represented Australia at U19 level, played 215 games in the NBL with Victoria, Cairns and Perth during his 10-year career in the national league. He has most recently been employed at Basketball WA in the role of programs and events co-ordinator whilst also being an Assistant Coach with the Perth Lynx during the 2021/2022 season which culminated in the team making the Grand Final of the WNBL.

“I am excited and grateful to be welcomed into the Tigers community,” said Robbins

“I look forward to assisting in the development of players and coaches at the club and will do my best to build upon what is already a strong and thriving program”

Willetton CEO Mark Winnett made the following comments in relation to the appointment of Robbins to the Talent & Coaching Manager role, “I am very pleased to be able to announce to the Tigers community the appointment of Brad Robbins; to be able to secure a person of Brad’s calibre into our organisation is a significant appointment for the association and he will be a fantastic acquisition in this very important role”

“The association’s high-performance programs at the club are well positioned at the present time and with Brad’s experience within the sport, he will be able to come in to the role and provide an outstanding resource for our NBL1, WABL and Domestic level coaches as well as our talented cohort of local NBL1 and WABL players who are looking to continually improve as players in their game and this will take our club to the next level”

Robbins will commence in the full-time role at Willetton Basketball on Wednesday 11th May.
